"Clinton Coming To SA"

This is absolutely strange in San Antonio (from KSAT-12):

With the Democratic Party nomination for president likely to be affected by Texas' March 4 primary, the remaining candidates are beginning to make the Lone Star state a priority.

...

Clinton is expected to speak at a campaign rally beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of St. Mary's University.

Clinton and Obama have tentatively agreed to a debate on Feb. 28 in Houston.

This is strange not just in San Antonio, but pretty much all of Texas. Since the presidential primaries in this state happen in March, the candidates for each party are pretty much locked down by the time we get to vote. As a result, the primaries in Texas mean little or nothing, and the candidates usually forsake the Lone Star State in their campaigns. With such close races this year, especially on the Democratic side, the candidates are suddenly paying attention to us.

I don't know if you like their attention or not, but it is unusual.

Why would they hold a debate in Houston when they could garner a much stronger audience by setting up a stage in front of La Mariposa?

I wouldn't be surprised if Bill was there, front and center!

lol I'm just a little surprised they mention San Antonio and Houston.. and not AUSTIN which has a much bigger Democratic voting population... I mean, I know they want to try and sway voters from Repub. to Democrat... but I just don't think they'll get very far in either city... they'll probably have more trouble in Houston than here, because "Houston" includes a lot more rural, farming areas and I just can't imagine that they'd be Democrats... I guess only time will tell... I don't care for Obama (something seems very suspicious about him... shady,if you will) or Clinton (I just can't respect a woman that would stay with a blatant cheater... one who humiliated her in front of the entire world), so I'll either throw away my vote in 3rd party (like I've done before) or vote Republican depending on who's up at bat...

Kels, you might be surprised. San Antonio has a lot of Democrats, and most elected officials in this town belong to that party. There may be a lot of staunch Republicans in the outlying areas, but Democrats largely run this town.
