Really, what use is that mask? Is it to prevent the prisoner from spitting? From seeing? Something else? If anyone knows, I'm truly curious.

, it is to keep them from spitting. I've seen them used in hospitals as well. Seems people like to spit when they are pissed off :)
My theory... it's supposed to make him look like the starts of a human sized teddy bear...! Seriously... it looks like a teddy bear snout and it's all nice and round and FLUFFY looking...! ;-)
Thanks, Rob. That was my initial guess, but I wasn't sure.
This usually happened to me when I was younger, the result of having two older brothers and plenty of Fruit of the Looms lying about.
And once convicted, he'll get to enjoy the fart game.
lol @ Dave! Makes me think of how a friend retaliated against her husband in an endless stream of pranks... after their long day... she asked how his lunch was... he said, "Good...*pause*... WHY?!" her answer: "Because I farted on your sandwich in your ziplocked bag..." Moral of the story? Don't tick off your wife... ;)
Other moral of the story: Make your own lunch!
