Car slams into apartment building

Wow. This guy was really haulin' something.
Donna Jones said that she and her grandson woke up to a startling noise.

"I just heard a loud bang when I was asleep in my bed," Jones said.

Christian Phillip Hemmi, 23, who police said was driving the car, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drunken driving, police said.

"He was still stumbling when he was talking to the cops," said Amber Stevens, an apartment resident.

Officers said Hemmi went through a stop sign, clipped a sport utility vehicle in the parking lot and hit a central air unit before crashing and landing sideways into the complex's leasing office.

The crash left a huge gaping hole in the building and plenty of damage in the office, police said.

The only thing not hit was a fence!

I suspect the car had some assistance here. Seriously, it looks as though a forklift simply placed the vehicle into the apartment. I suspect the car was tired and simply wanted to get home.

Sleep, little car. Sleep. Perchance to dream.

I was kind of hoping to have found my story the night before this one where a drunk driver drove his SUV into my bedroom pinning me. The guy's insurance swears he couldn't have done it...
