Making noodles

Bachelors of San Antonio, rejoice! Your food of convenience and choice is not just available in this town, soon it will be made in this town!

Ramen noodles!

Eat it cheap! Then get a job, make it, and make money with it, too!
International food manufacturer Maruchan Inc. is taking steps to open a major manufacturing, warehouse and shipment facility in southwest Bexar County.

The maker of instant ramen noodle soup products plans to construct a 500,000 square foot facility on approximately 60 acres at the Medio Creek Business Park near San Antonio.

"The Maruchan Inc. facility represents tremendous movement in our efforts to aggressively pursue economic development projects that will benefit the southwest region," says Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff. "With a capital investment of approximately $325 million, this project will have a positive and lasting impact on our county."

Did you hear that? These noodles are a "tremendous movement" for San Antonio. Now that's a statement I can get behind.
