Four Shetland ponies wandered the area around SW Military and Whitewood just after 8 a.m.(from KSAT-12)
Police tried to capture the horses and finally managed to get three of them contained. But a fourth pony proved a harder catch.
He roamed around and police weren't able to catch him.
Frustrated police called in an officer they say had experience with roping horses. That officer arrived and, after several attempts, was finally able to throw a rope over the pony.
Let's all be thankful for cowboy cops. Yippee-ki-yay!

They should have just looked across the razor-wire fence at the folks on Security Hill. With all the strange people working there, there would bound to be somebody with a rope in the truck and the necessary skills.
Used to be a guy that wandered the halls selling fresh eggs every morning. Ponies would be a cinch.
