Losing control
How freakin' fast do you need to be going for this to happen?
Another news report said the driver might have been going about 100 mph at the time of the accident. So, that's how fast.
Bonus strangeness: The guy wasn't hurt that bad! He's expected to be OK! Though I bet he needs some new pants after this one.
Carlos Cardenas with the San Antonio Fire Department Rescue Station 51 said that the driver was headed west on the access road of 1604 when he lost control, ran off the road through two pillars under the 1604 overpass and then up an incline until he got stuck right under the highway.(from KSAT-12)
Rescue crews from the Shavano Park Fire Department and the San Antonio Fire Department both responded to get the driver out.
The 51-year-old driver is was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

Sorry about the long gaps between posts. Demands of life, and all that. Things should settle down soon.

Someone who should think a little more about technology
Hahahahahaha!
Let's hope it was a really cool -- and really distinctive -- ring tone. Oh, I don't know, maybe something like this:
Officers asked [Jeremey Thomas] to come with them to a home in the 4700 block of Casa Espana, where he found several detectives and piles of stolen belongings.(from KSAT-12)
"Found the checkbook, really didn't find anything else," Thomas said.
It turned out Thomas was one of at least two people who had their vehicles stolen by two men.
But it was what they stole from inside the vehicles that ended up getting them caught.
Officers tracked the two burglars down by the locator on a stolen iPad.
They then called the number of one of the phones that had been stolen.
It was in the suspects pocket, ringing.
