People living in a West Side community contacted News 4 WOAI about a giant hole in their neighborhood that has been 'under repair' for more than a month.Really? The hole is 20 feet deep?
When I went to check it out, I found a hole about 30 feet wide and 20 feet deep on Rivas Street, just off Calaveras. I was told it is a San Antonio Water System project and that SAWS officials hired a contractor to fix a sewer pipe that burst.
What do you think? Could a two-story house fit inside that hole?

I was gonna make a comment here about it looking to be about as deep as the San Antonio River, and then I read the next story down and realized the chick who fell into the river in Brack Park could probably fall into that hole and not be able to get out.
Good one, Sabra.
I estimate 7 feet deep, 12 wide, and a bit longer than that, but you can't really see.
That hole won't even fit a good sized tent.
Well, maybe the hole is supposed to be 20 feet deep when they are finished digging. No sense in simply reporting the facts when they may already know what is supposed to happen. "Dewey Defeats Truman" and all that stuff aside.
