Dave from Silver Creek 78250 decided to go see for himself the place that's been in the news lately, Seymour Perkins's residence. Dave observes, with nice imagery: "The freakishness of this man's yard is that it hits you like a carnival that has sprung up in an HEB parking lot between the time you first went in to grab some samples and the time you waddle out to the car."
He has pictures, too.

I've read meters there, too. I wondered what the deal was with that "artistic" junkyard.
As for the house itself, it looks no worse than hundreds of other houses there. If they condemn it and tear it down, they should do the same for the entire neighborhood.
It's an absolutely horrible area to work in, by the way.
Alan, be careful out there, though I get the impression you are a cautious type of person anyway.
I had that route again today. I don't actually read that side of the street, but I go right by it on the other side. I can understand why some people might want to shut him down. There are people constantly just wandering around in the street like it's their back yard or something, yelling at each other, running across to the convenience store, etc. The poor guy who runs the store probably wishes he could get some decent customers in there, but probably won't as long as his place is the refreshment central for pimps and prostitutes. It's just a god-awful mess.
I knew I was getting close when I heard someone scream, "Get your fat *ss back in the truck! You ain't makin' any money standin' around here!"
